Very nice, it's a shame that the playground is closed but otherwise very nice and it wasn't full of people

Very nice excursion restaurant, small appealing memory card, the rooms are bright, comfortable and clean. Service very attentive and friendly. There is also a great opportunity to buy Harz specialties here. Outside there is a playground and a small zoo.

Enjoy your meal. Nice playground right next door for the kids, which makes the already short waiting time pass even faster. Sometimes the staff was a bit overwhelmed. However, the man who served us was great. A clear recommendation for a break with the family.

After we walked the wildcat path and visited the enclosure, we stopped here and treated ourselves to a delicious pea soup. Was great ... Reasonable portion for the price. Pot of coffee and cake display was also great. Service very nice. One star less just because I couldn't try the main meal and as a precaution I am skeptical. And the entrance fee for the enclosure is also a bit much. Or maybe not if you knew that everything was important for the animals.

Very nice modern forest restaurant between Bad Harzburg and Torfhaus. To be reached directly, by car or on foot. Large parking lot available. With integrated farm shop. The restaurant is very cozy. Been there this afternoon after a hike. Comfortably furnished. Courteous and very friendly staff. The dishes were delicious and plentiful. Cake buffet also tasted and found to be delicious. Clear recommendation.

Loving care of the wild cats with interesting feeding and very friendly service with good food in the hut. Attractive prices. Excellent sausages in the farm shop!

We visited the Marienteichbaude in the summer and experienced a very warm and child-friendly service. The food came without a long wait and was delicious. Coffee and (sheet) cakes were also very much to our taste. The adjoining playground and the wildcat enclosure were great for the children. We look forward to a visit in autumn and winter, when you can enjoy the cosiness of the dining room - hopefully with a burning fireplace. TIP: There are also various regional homemade specialties in the shop. We took smoked sausage, sausage in a jar and honey. All very recommendable.

Good restaurant with very hardworking and nice service. The food selection is not large, but the dishes are fresh and delicious. Meat / sausage from the land butcher close up.

Super nice and brisk service. Food and beer delicious. The fried potatoes in particular were great. Nothing out of the bag!

Very nice waitress with a sense of humor. 1A schnitzel and delicious salad. Game goulash is a bit weak, but the red cabbage is really great. Otherwise fantastic.

Our children loved the enclosure - especially the petting zoo and the feeding of the wild cats at 4 p.m. - they didn't want to leave. Highly recommended for families with small children. (We did not visit the restaurant area.)

Good food and friendly service. Very nice to come more often, I am curious what it will be like when it is fed wild. We also went to see the wild cats, which was small but nice. The animals have a nice enclosure and are cared for as well as possible, as long as it is possible to keep a wild animal in natural habitat with a fence around it as much as possible. Was beautiful to see! It has also impressed our children, especially that these cats don't just get kibble to eat but gobble up a few chicks.

Good quality / price ratio, nice restaurant where in certain seasons one can look at the feeding place of game from the restaurant. The menu is simple and not too big, the food is fresh and delicious, portions are big enough. The staff are friendly and business-like, but above all it is very clean (the tables were immediately cleaned with disinfectant, after the table was released). The only downside, I found the schnitzel on the thin side .. but the küchen we took for dessert made up for it ..

It is definitely worth a look there. You learn a lot about wild cats. A small playground is in front of the enclosure and behind it runs a hiking trail with various stations for children. This is about 3.5 km long

We felt very comfortable here. The food is fresh, rich and really delicious. The waitresses are nice, polite and courteous. We will definitely come back when we are in the Harz Mountains. An all-round successful evening, thank you!

We were there to eat and hoped to experience the wildlife feeding. Unfortunately, that did not work because she did not show any animal. Because the service was very nice and our food was very good. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the fireplace invites you to linger.
